| Speakers: Anthony J. Carter (M.A.B.S., Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando campus) is pastor of East Point Church, East Point, GA. He is author of “On Being Black and Reformed”; "Hesed: A Word Better than Life"; co-author and editor of "Experiencing the Truth: Bringing the Reformation to the African-American Church"; co-author and editor of “The Glory Road: The Journeys of 10 African Americans into Reformed Theology”. Pastor Carter is a frequent conference speaker and guest lecturer. He has spoken in conferences and churches from Canada to the Caribbean. Anthony and his wife Adriane have five children. Thabiti Anyabwile is the full-time husband to a loving wife, Kristie, and father to two adorable daughters, Afiya and Eden, and one son, Titus. He is the senior pastor at First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. Thabiti holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in psychology from North Carolina State University. Pastor Anyabwile is the author of, "The Faithful Preacher: Recapturing the Vision of Three Pioneering African American Pastors", "The Decline of African-American Theology: From Biblical Faithfulness to Cultural Captivity", “What is A Healthy Church Member”, and "May We Meet in the Heavenly World: the Piety of Lemuel Haynes". Dr. Hensworth W.C. Jonas is a citizen by birth of Antigua & Barbuda, a twin-island nation in the eastern Caribbean, where he has ministered as a pastor since 1985. He is the Executive Director of the East Caribbean Baptist Mission, a missionary agency focused on church planting, educational, radio and television ministries. He is also the Presiding Elder of the Baptist Circuit of Churches in Antigua. He founded and serves as principal of the Baptist Academy of Antigua, a school with secondary, elementary and early childhood divisions. Dr. Jonas is the author of, "Dancing with Idolatry: Are you bowing to a false god." His undergraduate studies were completed, magna cum laude, at Oklahoma Baptist University. He also earned graduate degrees from the Pensacola Theological Seminary and the Master’s International School of Divinity. He and his wife, Vandah, have two children: Joshua and Stephanie. |
